RINA's Holiday Charity Fundraiser

1/1/2014
As part of this year’s annual holiday party, RINA hosted a charity fundraiser for a very special animal shelter in the Bay Area: the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society. This particular animal shelter is unique in that most of the shelter’s population is comprised of cats and dogs that have been pulled from other area municipal shelters that were on the euthanasia listing. The BEBHS strives to rescue what they determine to be “family pets”, and will house, either on site or through foster homes, the animals until they become adopted under a no-kill philosophy. Together, RINA staff members raised over $700 in cash and around $200 worth of requested care items for the shelter. On the day that they dropped off the donations, Joan Stockholm and Ashley Griffin were given a special tour of the shelter facilities where they got to meet some of the adoptable dogs - all of whom were especially sweet, cute and loving. If you are interested in adopting a new member for your family, please consider making your adoption through the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society!
