Brad Gai, Audit Principal in our Walnut Creek office, is a long-standing member of the service organization, Rotary Club of Alamo since 1997. Rotary is the largest international service club with 1.2 million members worldwide. Rotary’s focus is volunteering in communities at home and abroad to support education and job training, provide clean water, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, and eradicate polio.

Brad currently serves as the Foundation Chair of his Rotary Club. Some of the many projects and programs that the Rotary Club of Alamo supports are:

  • Alamo Music Festival
  • Distribution of dictionaries to 3rd graders at local schools
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Books to local school libraries
  • Hosting exchange students
  • High School Scholarships
  • Funding for the Swami School in India
  • Recognition for Student of the Year
  • Recognition for Teacher of the Year
  • Recognition of Alamo Citizen of the Year
  • Stone Valley Interchange Beautification Project
  • Wheelchairs around the world
  • Disaster assistance
  • RotaCare Pittsburg Free Medical Clinic

Brad explains that “When an international project is supported by a Rotary Club, we use the leverage of matching grants from the Rotary International Foundation to achieve results in areas of the world that we can be proud of. We know the dollars that we spend are carefully managed and monitored because we are using the Rotary Club in the foreign country to manage the project. What makes Rotary an excellent choice for my long-term and continued support is the combination of the reach of the Rotary organization along with the confidence that projects and donor dollars will make a difference in the world.”
