Mary Cunningham is President and Chief Executive Officer of Chicago Deferred Exchange Company, one of the nation’s oldest and largest providers of Qualified Intermediary services to investors seeking to structure tax-deferred exchanges under IRC Section 1031. Mary is responsible for a team of professionals who are dedicated to Qualified Intermediary and Exchange Accommodation Titleholder services to attorneys, accountants, real estate and tax professionals nationwide. Mary’s expertise comes from her direct involvement with tens of thousands of tax-deferred exchanges across a diverse group of assets over a 25+ year period. Mary is actively involved in the Federation of Exchanges Accommodators (FEA) the national trade organization for qualified intermediaries. Mary currently serves on the FEA Executive Committee and is a past President. She holds the Certified Exchange Specialist® designation..
Ray Evans has extensive experience providing tax consulting and compliance services to high net worth individuals, closely-held businesses and their owners in diverse industries. Areas of focus include tax planning for individuals and closely-held businesses, financial and estate planning, and business succession planning. As head of RINA’s Tax Department, Ray brings his experience in navigating the complexities of the tax laws to both his clients and to the firm. He is a frequent speaker on tax issues to professional business groups in the Bay Area. Ray also has extensive experience in providing auditing and attest services for a wide-range of business and nonprofit clients.
Timothy (Tim) M. Tikalsky has over 35 years of experience in public accounting and is the head of RINA's Real Estate Practice Group. Tim specializes in tax planning, compliance and consulting for medium-sized to large closely-held companies, partnerships and fiduciaries. He has extensive experience in handling engagements with multi-state and complex real estate transactions. Tim is a frequent speaker at professional and industry events such as the International Council of Shopping Centers' (ICSC) Annual Law Conference , the Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA) and RINA's Real Estate Advice Series.
