Teresa Moss Fluegel is Senior Vice President of Chicago Deferred Exchange Company (CDEC). She is responsible for providing consulting services to real estate and tax attorneys, accountants, investors and commercial real estate professionals across the country with a focus on the West Coast. Teresa is a frequent instructor of accredited 1031 courses to real estate and tax professionals and brings over 25 years of experience and expertise to the field that comes from direct involvement with tens of thousands of tax deferred exchanges for real property. Teresa is a Certified Exchange Specialist and a seasoned expert in navigating forward, reverse and build-to-suit exchanges.
Tim Galusha is a partner with Thompson, Welch, Soroko & Gilbert LLP. His practice focuses on real estate, business, and partnership law, and he specializes in property tax issues. Mr. Galusha is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Since 2003, Mr. Galusha has lectured on property tax issues concerning Proposition 13 and reassessment. He is the co-author with Wayne Gilbert of "Understanding Property Tax Treatment of Trusts" (Winter, 2007) Vol.12, No. 4, Trusts and Estates Quarterly.
Timothy (Tim) M. Tikalsky has over 35 years of experience in public accounting and is the head of RINA's Real Estate Practice Group. Tim specializes in tax planning, compliance and consulting for medium-sized to large closely-held companies, partnerships and fiduciaries. He has extensive experience in handling engagements with multi-state and complex real estate transactions. Tim is a frequent speaker at professional and industry events such as the International Council of Shopping Centers' (ICSC) Annual Law Conference , the Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA) and RINA's Real Estate Advice Series.
