Accounting Financial Analyst

RINA Accountants & Advisors is growing its Advisory Services department. The person in this role will work directly with the head of the department to bring excellent client service to a variety of clients across industries. 

This is a great opportunity to use your expertise to bring high value solutions to small and mid-size, private, closely-held companies, as well as to grow your skills and experience. The Accounting & Financial Analyst will utilize both accounting and finance skills to serve clients on a wide variety of projects. Communication and the ability to organize and prioritize one’s own time are critical factors for success.

In this position you will work with clients to prepare, analyze and present financial reports; create and track forecasts, prepare financial and operational scenario analyses; investigate financial trends and anomalies; and work on a variety of special accounting or finance projects. You may be called upon to set up accounting systems for new clients, advise on accounting software, review and analyze chart of accounts, or perform other related projects as they arise. 

In this role you will occasionally travel to client offices in the San Francisco Bay Area to meet with them face to face. RINA utilizes a team-based approach to serving its clients’ accounting and finance needs. You will be a part of multiple engagement teams serving clients. Senior Bookkeeper or Senior Advisory Accountant

RINA Accountants & Advisors is growing its Client Advisory Services department. The person in this role will work directly with the head of the department to bring excellent client service to clients already engaged with RINA and to new clients as the department continues to grow.
 
This is a great opportunity to use your expertise to bring high value solutions to clients across industries, as well as to grow your skills and experience. The Senior Bookkeeper or Senior Advisory Accountant will work with a variety of clients. Communication and the ability to organize and prioritize one’s own time are critical factors for success.
 
In this position you will work with clients to provide senior level bookkeeping or accounting services, prepare financial reporting, and work on special accounting or finance projects. This role will work across the team to onboard new clients; troubleshoot accounting problems; research answers to client questions or provide training to junior staff. You may be called upon to advise on accounting software, chart of accounts, or other related topics as they arise.
 
In this role you will spend time split across direct interaction with clients, internal team working sessions, and independent work. You may work from one of RINA’s offices or work remotely. The successful Senior Bookkeeper or Senior Advisory Accountant will manage their own time, meet deliverables as agreed to, and communicate proactively if deliverables cannot be met timely.

Entry Level Staff

RINA actively recruits for entry level staff.  We generally recruit at the following campuses: Golden Gate University, Cal State East Bay, University of the Pacific and Cal Poly, (SLO), St. Mary's College and Santa Clara University. We often attend accounting career fairs and conduct on-campus interviews during the fall recruiting season with the intent to hire new staff who will start at RINA the following fall.

The candidate for this position will have at least a bachelors degree in accounting or finance and a 3.1 GPA or higher. They will be a candidate to sit for the CPA exam. In this position an employee will get the opportunity to work in both Audit and Tax, will receive targeted internal and external training along with on-the-job training and will have the opportunity to work with and learn from many talented accounting professionals.

Seasonal Tax Preparer

We are currently seeking experienced tax professionals to prepare individual, corporate and partnership tax returns on a per return basis in our San Francisco, Oakland and Walnut Creek offices. Open to remote opportunities. Supplement your income with no customer contact required.  Hourly pay will be commensurate with experience. 

The eligible candidate will have at least 6 years of recent experience in public accounting and will hold a CPA or EA designation.  He or she will be experienced in ProSystem and Engagement.  Quickbooks experience is a plus.


Summer Internship Program

We have implemented a summer internship program at RINA Accountants & Advisors corporation.  Internships will be part-time and will run for 8 weeks in the months of June and July.  They will include opportunities for tax and audit experiences including training, as well as regular professional soft-skills development training sessions.  Candidates will be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in accounting or tax with anticipated graduation within the year following the internship.  Candidates will be carrying a current GPA of 3.1 or better.  We will recruit for these positions during the fall recruiting season at Golden Gate University, Cal State East Bay, the University of the Pacific, Cal Poly (SLO), St. Mary’s and Santa Clara University.
