Employment Training Panel (ETP)

In today’s high-tech, global work environment, the need for advanced skills and training is a critical issue facing both employers and employees. Fortunately, Californians have the solution right at their fingertips – the Employment Training Panel (ETP).

ETP provides performance-related funds for California businesses engaged in retraining its regular employees or training new employees in skills necessary to keep California businesses competitive.

RINA can assist you in securing ETP funds—providing that you are a for profit business that that contributes to the state’s Employment Training Fund, and meet one of the following criteria:

• You face out-of-state competition, resulting in the need to retrain current employees
• You need to upgrade workers in areas where there are skill shortages
• You are hiring and training unemployed workers eligible for unemployment insurance
• You have unique training needs in specialized areas such as defense conversion and emerging technologies

Funding is available for a variety of needs, including:

• Computer training
• Customer service
• Management skills
• Total Quality Management (TQM)
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Supervisory skills
• Production techniques
