News: RINA accountancy corporation Announces San Francisco Partner and Office Head Elected to the Board of Directors for California Society of CPA’s

San Francisco, CA – Jamshed B. Gandi, CPA, CFP, CVA, has been elected as a Board member of CalCPA, to serve a two year term, as Council Representative to the Board. He joined CalCPA immediately after obtaining his license to practice as a CPA in 1982. Over the ensuing years, he has remained a dedicated member of the organization in the following capacity:

  • Chair of the Management of an Accounting Practice for the San Francisco Chapter
  • Program coordinator with the Personal Finance Committee/ Estate Tax Committee of the San Francisco Chapter
  • Member of the Tax Committee
  • Most recently, served as 2009 – 2010 President of the San Francisco Chapter

Jamshed remains passionate and dedicated to his profession and plans to continue his involvement in any capacity in his tenor as a member of CalCPA. He has always thought that “Whether we are in the profession to serve the corner grocery store or General Electric, industry, business, and commerce will always have a need for us bean counters. That’s what makes our profession so unique”.

The Board for the CalCPA will be focused on three priorities:

  • Attract, educate and support CPAs in their professional and personal growth.
  • Advocate for members on issues that affect the profession.
  • Enhance and promote the visibility of the profession and CalCPA.

Jamshed Gandi has been in public accounting for 38 years and specializes in tax consulting, business valuations, estate planning, international tax and financial consulting for small to medium sized closely-held businesses. He graduated from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1971 and earned his CPA license in 1982. He received a Masters of Taxation in 1985, his CVA in 1999 and a CFP in 2004 all from Golden Gate University. He is married with two daughters and lives with his wife in Martinez. He is originally from Karachi, Pakistan.
